About Us
Jim Forstedt's dad, Ron, started Fort Morgan Sewing Machine and Furniture Exchange Company in 1946 at 216 Main Street. During the past 67 years our store has expanded into several adjoining locations. It now occupies 214-216-218-220- and 224 Main Street and offers 40,000 square feet of furniture showrooms.
The store has gone through many changes over the years, but our family commitment to provide a great selection of high quality furniture and bedding products to our customers has never changed. Deb and Jim Forstedt purchased the store from Ron in 1978 and continue to operate Fort Morgan Furniture and The Better Sleep Store.
